Artist: Max

Max had this to say about this piece: "The girl is Rhianwyn, mischievous mountain spirit, and the guy is Manannan mac Lir, an old Irish sea god who's down on his luck and out of his element. Painting this was a study in anticlimax; I painted Rhianwyn first, and she was an absolute joy and finished in a day. Then I painted Manannan, and he took two or three days and the process was less joyful. Then I spent about a month on the background, and man, was that aggravating. Still, I'm pleased with how it came out."
